Hi guys! Today is day 44 on my xbox weight loss journey and I must apologize for not writing anything in the last two weeks. I was extremely busy with work and working out. And I have been working out a lot.
Ever since falling off the wagon two weeks ago with my trip and being sick for a week, I’m now back on track and lost a pound as well last week and 2.2 lbs this week. So in total I have now lost 4.3 kg or 9.5 lbs in 6 weeks. I’m now at 110.7 kg or 244 lbs. As you can see here on my schedule, I’m almost on track with it.
Xbox Kinect workouts
Let’s start with kinect, what I have done these last couple of weeks? Well, I purchased Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2012. It was impossible to buy Biggest Loser here, so I chose to download Your Shape through Xbox Live instead and I’m not dissapointed.
I scanned myself and did submit my data and chose the rapid weight loss program. The game then suggested I work out 30 minutes 4 times a week. This is clearly not enough! I have done around 1-2 hours every day. (I skipped 2 days as I was not at home ). So far so good, I have already burned 2246 calories with Yourshape and honestly, I think it doesn’t count them right. It only shows my average weightloss at 200 kcal per hour, although I’m sweating like crazy and doing really tough exercises. I will have to see if I can improve this somehow, maybe it doesn’t scan me right or something. My calorie counting watch showed that I burned three times as many calories.
My diet has not gone as well as my workouts but I have managed to stay in my calorie limits. My kids are insisting I make all kinds of pastries to them, which I also eat. So I get plenty of carbs and sugars, but as long as I stay in the calorie limit, I hope I will be fine. This weekend I only have healthy foods in my fridge and so I’m hoping to have some light days.
I have started to love steamed green beans. I buy 4-5 packages of frozen beans and prepare these for me instead of pasta or potatoes to go with my dinner. It is healthy and it tastes good. I also love cauliflower with some cheese but it’s very expensive this time of year so I don’t dare to by it much.
What Else have I done
I think I wrote to you a while ago that I ordered some stuff from Aliexpress that is supposed to help weight loss. Firs arrived magnetic toe rings that I’m supposed to wear every day. I do try to do it, but sometimes forget. Other than making me feel uncomfortable, I don’t really think they help.
Then I also ordered a pack of Oolong weight loss tea. This tea arrived 4-5 days ago and tastes good. I will have to use it longer to see if it helps at all.
Another thing that arrived are detox foot patches. I believe these help to clean my system of toxins. However, they won’t actually make me lose weight but are good for me anyway.
Finally, my calorie counting watch arrived for which I’m most happy about. It works ok, but sometimes I suspect it shows too many calories burned. At one time it even suggested I burned 300 calories in an hour of sitting at my desk working, so you just can’t trust it. But while working out it seems to do fine counting.
I will get back to work now, I have an enormous amount of work to do and I also have to get in some Xbox kinect fitness workouts, so don’t be mad if I write less. I’ll try to write at least once a week after my weekly weighing.
